Huolongjing compiled

The Huolongjing, or Fire Dragon Manual, catalogued the gunpowder weapons of the age in detail, from bombs and land mines to early cannon and multistage rockets, and records powder formulas with far higher nitrate content than earlier texts. Compiled around the mid-fourteenth century and printed in the early Ming, it is the most comprehensive surviving record of medieval Chinese gunpowder technology.
